Hello,

A gentleman I used to work with who is now retired often told us of a
Homewood Car House story about an "unattended PRC streetcar." He heard
this story from a fellow member of AA.

Apparently, the guy - prior to his AA membership - wanted to get home
from whatever local drinking establishment was in the area and so he
appropriated a PCC from the Homewood carhouse and took it out onto
Frankstown Avenue. I guess it may have been signed "88 Frankstown" as
he actually stopped and picked up a few passengers on his way to East
Liberty. Before he made it to East Liberty, however, PRC was on his
trail along with the police. The kicker of the whole story, as sketchy
as it is, is that the guy had never operated a streetcar before.

It can't be that easy, can it?
