I don't recall any specific "race against the clock"
on this particular trip -- however, evening service
on the interurbans tended to be more leisurely due to
fewer stops and congestion than during day service so
I would surmise that the car would have been back on
schedule by the time it arrived at Mon City
(Monongahela, PA, to the non-locals!)

What wasn't done in those days to keep service running?!?!
Now, tell us about the rest of the trip - did you set any speed records
in making up time?
