[PRCo] How do you pronounce Balmer?

And other locals say Bal-tee-more.  And L. A. has either a short e or a
long e but I've near heard it in Spanish, An-hee-los.  

Where or where is Nalins?  (My wife and I have had a long running
disagreement ... the English teacher in her wants everything pronounced
correctly and I always argue that the locals are correct.  She also
believes in Anglicizing proper names and I don't.

How did this start anyway.  Certainly not with eBay Alert - Pittsburgh
