HI!

Interesting the transition--ing for these two interurban cars. Car
1613 first received a pilot and added weight to B-2 trucks, possibly a
retriever of the Ohio Brass style. Then came the experimental B-3
trucks from 1230 or 1278. Then came roof lights. Then came Earll
retrievers.

Then these cars were stripped of their experimental B-3 trucks and
returned to B-2s. Car 1613 then lost her Earll retriever for a city
catcher back above the windows.

Pictures on pgs.132--133 of *PCC The Car That Fought Back* show the
experimental B-3 trucks as applied to 1230 and 1278 with wheel tread
brakes. The very bottom photo of pg.132 and very top left photo of
pg.133 show the experimental B-3s as adapted for interurban use --
sans wheel tread brakes. And the photo on the bottom of pg.133 shows
the OB-type retriever centered below the rear windows on 1614, County
Line Siding, Washington line.

Just thinking of PRCo days -- not beyond.
