The July--1952 *Electric--Railroads* special about "The Story of
Pittsburgh Railways Interurban Division" was written by John Baxter. As
I understand it, John was an employee of PRCo and even a Road Supervisor
and possibly escorted PERC on many of their early fan-trips, even the
one of the move of the first 3-museum cars to Arden. Thus, he should be
a reputable reference. The foreward was written by the ERA Editor.

	On pg.3, 2nd-column, 3rd-paragraph from bottom, I quote:::::::

"One type of orange deck roof car frequently used is the 3750 series.
This type was once operated MU on the Charleroi line and was equipped
with high back plush seats and a smoking compartment. Today, no trace
of their former comfort remains as they resemble any standard city car."

I have seen it in print that crews and passengers did not like the cars
(the word was 'unpopular with passengers and crews') but that is elusive
at the moment or I am looking right at it and not seeing it.

FAIR HAVEN.

Quoting from the same publication, very bottom of pg.11:

"A local service sharing the trackage out of Pittsburgh with the
interurbans began operation to Fair Haven (Frederick Street) in 1916,
extended later to Shannon, then to Library in 1924."

Thus the X-Over identified between Frederick and Paris was the one used
for this local service to Fair Haven.
