There was a track connection between PRC and West Penn in Duquesne. The
line from McKeesport to Duquesne was originally West Penn Ry., (actually
predecessor) and eventually became PRC route 68. The PUC record makes for
interesting reading.
There were three routes heading north out of McKeesport towards Wilmerding.
Two made it to Wilmerding, third was Highland Traction(????)(where's an
early map of McKeesport when you need one-can someone help)
The details of research are sketchy, but West Penn MAY have also connected
with PRC in Wilmerding. And Highland Traction (if I've remembered name
correctly) would have connected in McKeesport. And what about Clairton St.
Ry.??????
Can I plead 'senior moment' for not providing details? Maybe Ed or Fred can
elaborate/correct above.
