Yes, the Etna line was a fun ride.  In the summer, we would visit relatives in
Glenshaw.  We'd ride to the end of the 2-Etna line where they would be waiting to
pick us up for the drive out PA route 8.  I also looked forward to the PRC route 2
swing around the Millvale car barn, and the view of the PRR and B&O tracks that ran
parallel to E. Ohio St., especially the concrete viaducts west of the 40th St.
Bridge.  The PRR was pretty much dieselized in Pittsburgh by the early 1950's, but
the B&O still operated a lot of steam locomotives, and it wasn't unusual to see
steam trains from trolley windows.
