There was a model railroad project layout I think by Lou Sassi that modeled
two seasons, and one was winter. Don't know if I have it or not, but will
look. The center of the layout was a hill, or mountain for you plains guys,
and one side was finished with snow and winter outfitting, the front summer.
I think he used tunnels at both ends to get from one scene to the other and
the layout was a basic loop.
As long as you have a center divider, maybe tall buildings with street
running on the front and go into the south hills tunnel (at one end) and then
loop around to the back while inside the tunnel, coming out into a different
scene at maybe souths hills jct.
Back side could be be car barns, rural running, whatever and someone else is
going to have to help with the other end of the layout. With the tall
buildings, or backdrop of cities (there is a co. in Pittsburgh producing HO
scale backdrops of Pittsburgh and country scenes, maybe in O also ) for the
vert. divider on the one side, trees,
country scene backdrop, or whatever would do for the back.
It does have possibilities.
