Ah, the good old (pre-ebay) days...

Around 1981, one of my neighbors in Bethel Park retired and was moving from the area. I went
over to his garage sale and bought all his PRC memorabilia. He was John Sieglen, a manager
at PAT, who probably started as a motorman at PRC. I still have the stuff I bought, and
remember the prices, which were low even in 1980: his PRC coin changer including extra
springs, accessories and parts for $1; also an Aurora electric bus layout (kind of like a
slot-car setup) including two buses, switches, bridges, roadway and power pack for 25 cents!

And that brings me to some sage observations that I made after a recent visit to a garage
sale here: have you ever seen a high school yearbook being sold at a garage sale? Have you
ever been to a garage sale that WASN'T selling an exercise bike?
