We'll find out won't we. If Derrick doesn't bitch, I guess we can do
it.
I learned how to take initiative during my career with the state. I
worked for 35 years in government where we were told that there was a
heirarchical structure ... only certain people were allowed to sign
letters, for example. I signed them long before I had permission to do
so. My premise was that it was far easier to apologize than get
permission to do anything in government, and if you didn't hurt your
boss, you never had any reason to apologize. I later taught my own
people that breach of conduct!
If the material offered for sale is of Pittsburgh interest, I think that
is a damn good place to attempt to sell it. And if it works and Derrick
objects, you can always get a list of the members from Derrick and go at
it that way.
I'm a son of a bitch, NO? Great pride. Big smile.
Remember, the negatives were copied from prints that PTM owns, therefore
the donation is appropriate. I also take great pride in flushing money
out of people. Did the same thing at church ... we paved a walk ...
I've so far flushed an extra $800 or so out of 60 some in the
congregation by offering a challenge grant. They had to give above and
beyond normal for me to match it. And, since I'm the church treasurer,
I know what they normally give.
