Only because we had trouble finding a parking space.  No trouble on the 
return trip from Chinatown.

Yes, late February or early March.  There was still snow in the lower 
elevations of Yosemite.

Several months later a couple from church complained about the high cost of 
parking when they visited San Francisco, particularly Fisherman's Wharf 
area.  Told them they should have dumped their car at a BART station and 
used MUNI tageskarte.

There's a message there for others on this list.  What we take for granted 
as far as navigating public transit, is completely foreign to most of our 
acquaintances.
