22/85 was a through route for a while.

Wasn't there a time when 22 and 85 were through routed??
In (very) early years, there was an intersting loop operation: Out Second
Ave. through Glenwood to McKeesport (rt 56), then to Wilmerding, then to
East Pittsburgh and inbound 55 to Pittsburgh. Don't know if it followed 55
as we remember through Homestead or stayed on north side of Monongahela
River. to Glenwood.
Let's see PAT top that!

Did "through" route refer to former Pittsburgh Motor Coach routes???? Such
as Shadyside, Mt. Lebanon??? I guess Harold G. might be the resident expert
with this one.
