The 1957 schedule has Library and Drake running on 40-minute headways
weeknights, 60-minute headways Saturday evening, and 40-minute headways
on Sunday all day until 12.19-AM Monday morning, then 1.18-AM, 2.13-AM,
2.43-AM, 4.13-AM, 4.49-AM from Library IB. The 12.44-AM and 1.41-AM
ran inbound to SHJ only.
Interesting to look at the outbound Sunday schedule times which are
40-minutes all day until mud-night and then it is every 30-minutes until
2.00-AM then 3.30-AM, 4.00-AM then Monday morning schedules with the
next trip at 5.30-AM! So the headways are 40-minutes, 30-minutes,
90-minutes, 30-minutes, 90-minutes, then Monday morning!
The infamous April--26--1964 schedule has Library and Drake running
on 45-minute headways weekday evenings, hourly schedules Saturday
evening on both lines (36-minutes mid-day Saturday), and hourly
schedules all day long Sunday. Curious to know the travel patterns of
people in these 2-time frames which would require such frequent service
late Sunday night up until 1957 and then much less after that! THAT
could get some writing going!

The June--1960 49-schedule had the 55-minute mid-day schedule with
20-minute AM and PM peak rush hour schedules with a round-trip running
time of 47-minutes, 8-minute layover! 7.07-AM to 8.27-AM is every
20-minutes inbound, then 30-minutes one trip, then 55-minutes.
Outbound is 55-mins to 3.35-PM then 4.00-PM, 4.25-PM, then every
20-mins to 6.05-PM, 6.40-PM, 7.25-PM, then every 55-minutes til last
trip at 12.55-AM.

Interesting. There is a fine line to walk in most situations of life,

Not really -- just how did those who started at Charleroi get back
there!!(:->)

True -- transit cannot be divvied up in 3-equal shifts. The run I
work in the PM is the last bus into the garage at 2-AM and happens to be
the first one out weekdays at 6.30-AM -- now divide that into
3--eight--hour shifts! Could be 2-ten-(minus)-hour shifts, but tisn't
-- just one 10-hour shift - mine. Two other drivers on the coach
before me so those 2-drivers work split shifts.
And economy also dictates that *some* overtime is beneficial since it
saves overhead in the Health--&--Welfare department --- another
fine line!

Reliefs varied between inbound and outbound depending on total hours of
runs involved. While it might not seem prudent to pay the man making
the relief the extra 22-minutes to make a trip around town, they would
just have to pay the man getting relieved that extra 22-minutes - it is
going to be paid one way or the other. Give it to the schedule that
keeps the overtime expense down, Yes!(:->)

Doubt that many of our drivers would call them *artists!(:->)*
.......Also doubt you would want to know what our drivers call them!
I bit, John --- saw your coment further on about baiting me so I
thought I should accommodate!
