If I can be of any assistance I am 90 miles north of San Diego. While
there you might be able to check out the new Mission Valley East lite
rail extension work to and thru San Diego State Univ. from Mission
Valley east of the stadium where the present line ends. Concrete trestle
work thru a large section of Mission Valley  takes the line thru the
shopping centers and over the river and thru the stadium parking lot.       
Model RR museum in Balboa Park has O, HO ,N and three rail layouts open
11-4 tues-friday    11-5 sat-sun   closed monday   parking bad    Rt 7
bus goes by park from downtown .  Fare is highest in country at  $2
you can get a 3 or 4 day pass at Transit Store  broadway & first st.
