I remember riding with Eddie Lange, probably the last PAT motorman to still
call all the stops.  His admonition to the debarking passengers was "Watch
the machines."  This was in the 1970s.

Fred and all:  The word "machine" was deliberately used because I was
asking all of you to think in a different era.  It isn't necessarily
Pittsburghese.  Older Lancastrians used that term too.
