Roger -

I dug out the photos I took on our trip. Looks like it was four track. The
door area has been blocked in with concrete building blocks and one overhead
door. The building was the orange -- red brick that is common in that area.
Flat roof.
The back side in my photo is hidden by a semi trailer and piles of skids. It
looks like there were small square windows high on the sides with
corresponding windows below that were larger rectangular in shape. They are
closed in now by plywood or something of the like.

I just took a quick look through my WP books and didn't find that interior
photo of one of the 2 man cars stored, but I think it is in one of the
publications.

The barn was adjacent to the iron bridge which as I remember Ed explaining was
90 degree deal like some of the ones near Dunbar, that went up, turned 90
degrees, crossed the RR, turned again, and down to RR grade level again. As
Derrick mentioned the barn is part way between Scottdale and Mt. Pleasant,
closest to
Bridgeport. These towns are quite close to each other, and with today's
highway system, can be reached in a matter of minutes. Derrick proved that
to me when he was late picking me up in New Stanton to meet Fred and Ed in
Connellsville and we still showed up 10 minutes early. That included a gas
stop as the tank was on E.
But.....when we were heading towards Footedale, Ed or Fred reminded us that
the narrow, twisting two lane road out of Revere that today is a county or
township road was the main road during the time of the West Penn. The WP
never made it from
Uniontown to Masontown in about 15 minutes, but today you can.

When you get back to Westmoreland County and are ready to chase the WP we can
pinpoint Iron Bridge for you.

Fred
