Derrick has posted some new photos in the dementia file. I sent him these photos from my collection because most of them relate to recent commentary on the trolley list. Go to for my file, and then click on the following images:

* I recently realized that in the mid-1960s, Fred Gwinn had sent me photos of himself in a remarkable 50 year career of riding trolleys! From top to bottom, this sequence of photos shows Fred posed with:

    - Ohio Valley Electric Ry. Co #112 in Huntington, WV in 1918. Fred (at the left) was a motorman there from 1916-20; Jim McDermott (right) was conductor.

    - Wheeling Traction Co. #922 when Fred started there - October 26, 1920.

    - Co-Operative Transit Co. #101 when this car was streamlined - July 4, 1938

    - Co-Operative Transit Co. #34. Bill is ready for his last run before bus substitution - Nov. 22, 1947.

    - PRC 3487 at Arden on May 7, 1966.

* I took this photo of PAT 1700 in the midst of a snowstorm on Feb. 6, 1966. Note the clock on the P&LE canopy.

* This is "my" photo (from Bill Gwinn collection) showing the WPR 832 and PRC 3756 on the way to Arden on Feb. 7, 1954. PCC 1714 is on the Drake loop.

* I took this photo of PAT motorman (fan friendly) Bill Kaiser with PAT PCC 1724 at the Drake loop on October 10, 1965. On Sundays, the cars made alternating trips to Drake and Library, and so this inbound car is signed Library. A couple of my interior photos of 1724 taken that day are also in my dementia file.

* This is a photo of Fifth Avenue at Liberty Avenue in 1903. It was probably copies from a book or magazine. Note the
two tracks at the right which are identified as being, "The end of the line for West Park (West End) cars."
