Some day the American memory - Library of Congress collection will have it.
Go to http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/hhquery.html and search on Castle Shannon.
I've been watching this site for a couple years now waiting for them to
digitize the Pittsburgh stuff. There is some good stuff already available
at that site, Smithfield Street, Point, Duquesne bridges are all documented
with plans and photos.
I have a photo on my SHJ site that shows a P&CS engine in the background --
http://www.users.voicenet.com/~dietrich/SHJ/oldover.htm this is a Carnegie
Library photo, one of these days I'm going to try to get an original print
from them, this one was from a magazine. Browse around the SHJ site, you
may find more info of interest, especially the Warrington Ave. picture
section, that is where the P&CS terminated at the back-incline. I have a
page or two from a magazine article at home that shows a P&CS engine. I'll
scan it and mail it to you the next time I fire up the scanner at home.

Hello all! Being that I am a great fan of the Overbrook line, does anyone
know where one might find any information about the Pittsburgh& Castle
Shannon railroad? Anything with photos also? Any and all feedback on this
would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Mark A. McGuire
