friends, the American people. What happened yesterday was the most shocking
act of treachery I have ever seen, we thought/hoped that the worst of this
cowardly sickening murder, had dissapated after the terrible Lockerby Pan Am
bombing. My family and I have some idea of what fear of terrorism is, we
were in New Orleans in 96 and about to fly out to London the next day when,
the news broke of TWA flight 200 going down, the first reports were a
terrorist bomb or missile, we were on edge all the way from Dulles to
London. We were later in my wifes' home country, the former Yugoslavia and
saw first hand the devastation wrought on those people.

myself (though not for a living), I know those crew were either dead or
incapacitated at some stage before the course change, no pilot would allow
that to happen, witness the many occassions where a crippled aircraft has
been steered away from populated areas only to cost the crew their lives,
it's not heroism, it just comes with the territory and I know those pilots
would have fought to the death to avoid what was going to happen.

fealt condolances to my firends over there, to the members of the lists and
indeed to all Americans in this, yours and the world's darkest hour, I can
only hope that none of you have lost loved ones or friends in the terrible
barborous act.

identified and brought swiftly to justice. Our thoughts are with you all.
