That was one of those landmarks that always told me that New Stanton was
close. I guess I'll just have to use the curve in the road instead.

I heard from my brother-in-law that all the deaths in his company were
somewhat premature. Turns out that most of his people got out of the
World Trade Center ... only ten people are unaccounted for in that
group. He calls it a very small number ... no where near enough to
disable the business. That may sound calloused but business thinks that
way. In his personal case, he seemed more worried about people in a
firm, with which he was formerly employed, that was across the street
from WTC and in ground zero when the towers collapsed. He spoke of
hundreds there. And his concern was with his neighbors in Summit ... he
said the local police go around the area around the train station every
day putting white marks on tires to make sure people don't park more
than one day without moving their cars. There were apparently quite a
few cars that had not been reclaimed by Thursday night.

Frits van Dam, a friend from Holland, is temporarily in Rehobeth Beach
while his daughter recovers from surgery. He claims that there are
signs all over Lewes, Delaware suggesting that we bomb Afghanistan ...
sort of scary isn't it. I was also surprised that we had a 50 percent
increase in church attendance yesterday. And my neighbor, who claims
his Methodist church normally has 1,100 in three services had 800 in
just one of the three yesterday.

Gotta run ... Gotta get the church collection in the bank.
