[PRCo] Rebuilds

Greasings,

Speaking of rebuilds, Brookville Equipment Co., Brookville, PA, is
revamping eighteen PCC's for Philadelphia Transit. I just submitted a
quote for the removal of asbestos insulation from the underside of the
roof and crossbeam supports.
The project is scheduled to last 9-months with 2-3 cars being done every
three weeks, or so.

The asbestos must be removed so the roof can be torch-cut along the
abated strip and removed entirely. Interesting project and very labor
intensive. 

Maybe somewhat off topic, but knowing how most of the list thrills to
the mention of PCC's, assumed it would be of interest to someone even if
the cars belong to the Philly system.
