For those of you who care about the museum scene ... I worked at Arden
Thursday and Friday, observed on Wednesday. Busiest day, owing to the
school bus demolition derby at the fair, was Wednesday night. We parked
about 250 cars at the Thepitt lot (East Site) and perhaps another 75 or
so at the Richfol stop. Figure 3 people or more per automobile that
rode the trolleys ... a thousand or more fares during the evening
hours. .
At the peak on Wednesday night we were running six cars (three groups of
first and second sections) with standees!
In the middle of all of this we had the Democratic candidate for
governor kissing babies and pumping arms.
And how many railfans? I counted about two or three on each of the two
days I worked.
