I think these maps might be more likely found in the county assessment
offices. Also the DEP maintains an office locally where mining maps are on
file.

Ed,
Would the mine museum in Windber have archives and maps of the type you are
interested in? That was where they found the underground map for the mine
in which the miners were trapped recently. Found it after they were out.
