John sent this directly to me ... the whole group needs to read it.
John is telling me I'm full of s--t and that's OK too.  We're entitled
to our opinions and we learn from each other if we listen.  We each see
something different.  And therefore you all deserve to see that John has
a different viewpoint. He and I both have spent a lot of time in England
and, because he has family there, he probably spends more time than most
tourists interacting with other people.

Perhaps our 'snide' comments, Fred, along the lines of: "it's so hard to

find good help nowadays" applies today even more so to Great Britain.
Have
you tried reading the 'dribble' in the British press concerning public
transit.  Really quite pathetic.  Almost makes one wonder if the
competent
Brits have been hired by foreign firms, leaving only the bottom half of
the
'bell curve' to "carry on". (Brit slang intended).  It is no longer the
England of our parents and grandparents generation.

Concerning Rathke's experience, just because someone is competent in
engineering or computers, doesn't mean they are also top of their class
in
English and speaking.
