Operating different era's together is not a problem. In one of those sci-fi
alternate universes it probably happened. Just look at Ivor Walsh's
extraordinary Huntingdon Av subway-surface layout (mind, I'm not saying Ivor
operates in a different universe). Closer to home, any layout at the East
Penn meet (I think some of those guys ARE in an alternate universe)!
