Side effect number 2: you may be unable to connect to
"lists.dementia.org" by that name, in this case depending what your local
nameserver has cached. 

You can cheat by calling the host "tmp-meredith.dementia.org" instead of 
"lists.dementia.org" if the latter doesn't work. Thus, the above would be:
http://tmp-meredith.dementia.org/files/pittsburgh-railways/03-PRCROUTE.JPG
