<< Looking through my collection of photos, I noticed a photo of a car at
Drake dated 2/17/74. This was from John Bromley's collection. 1708 in o/w/o
paint is descending the grade into the loop. I noticed up on the hill
through
the trees to the right, you can still see the abutment from the trestle and
what looks to be the shelter from the old Drake stop on the Washington
interurban. Makes me wonder if PAT ever removed the shelter or just let it
sit there and rot. Makes me wonder even more if the rotting remains of that
shelter are still there almost 30 years after this particular photo was
taken. What ever became of some of these shelters on the old interurban
lines? I know PTM has Richfol.
While I'm on the subject of shelters...... Going back through
my "Trolley Fare" mags from PTM, I noted once again the crew removing the
old
Smith shelter from the Overbrook line. What ever became of this shelter? And
where does PTM plan on putting it if it hasn't done so already? >>
Being that nobody answered my previous post, I'm resubmitting it. I know
sometimes I'm a pain in the #!#, but like a little kid, I'm trying to learn.
Thanks guys!
