I have to side with Marie in this matter! The Hilton Garden Inn has perhaps
the best hotel bedding I've ever slept in and the rooms are great, for $71
or so. And there's a pretty good restaurant adjacent, too. I've no
personal experience with the Meadow Lands Comfort Inn, but have had very few
problems with them nationally. I'll find out how they are in London next
month; one in Londonderry (N. Ireland) a couple years back was excellent.
I stayed at a brand-new Motel 6 once and vowed never to return to another
one. I've never been disappointed with that decision!

My idea of a bargain is Motel 6, Murtland St., Washington, at $199 a
week. My wife's idea of a nice place is the new Hilton Garden off I-79
at Southpointe exit ... their get acquainted special last Thanksgiving
was about $67 a night (but the rack rate was more than double that).
The Holiday Inn at Meadowlands is closer to $80 a pop. While most
Hampton Inns are good, the manager of the one at Washington has some
less desirable qualities.
Barb Myers-Chiccone of the museum is in the travel agency business and
is upset if people don't book through her (even if she gets no
commission). E-mail <barb_trl at icubed.com>

travel plans now. I will go out on a limb and recommend the Comfort Inn at
Washington-Meadowlands, Exit 8B on I-79. They've quoted a rate for 2,
king-size, of $75 + 9% tax, $89 if you want a hot tub (ah, decadence).

the pre-1972 period, be reducing the numbers to that sufficient to fill a
long evening. Catch up on your sleep beforehand, as this show's only going
to happen once.
