I  again looked at the Louisville video and caught the narrator saying
that PRCo. PCC        #1223 was the car that ran in the city , borrowed
to show the people how nice a car it was . The Louisville Ry Co.
management was responsible for bringing it to the city to show the
people and the city management that new streetcars could be brought into
the city to modernize the rail system instead of replacing it with buses
as some city politicians wanted to do.
