Rege Cordic was featured speaker at the NMRA Convention in Pittsburgh in August, 1958.  During the banquet at the William Penn Hotel he brought down the house with his jokes.  Then we all went outside where we found a string of 11 trolleys (including one car from each PCC number series) awaiting us for a night fantrip.  The trolleys were lined up southbound on Grant Street at the exact time we left the hotel, so to avoid delaying regular schedules, I suspect that the trolleys were staged down toward Liberty Avenue until it was time to pick up the NMRA crowd at the hotel.
