I'm not sure when the two portable rail grinders (R55, R59)
disappeared. I photographed one of them at work in December 1953. I
note that they are not on the work car list. Your list is definitely
post 1955 because M197 is gone, and probably much later as the F8 and
one of its mates is also missing.
I'm astonished by the large number of low-speed 5100s still in storage
as late as 1952. Most of them were out of service by 1940, restored
during the war, retired after the war again. The only high speed was
5149 at is was shown active at Carrick in the 1952 list.
