I never was able to keep the two Southern region stations separate in my mind, no matter how hard I try.  My apology.  Bowman is still alive
... in a nursing home right now.  I've supposed to take him back to his own home next Friday.   I knew what electrics were still running, the
steam was essentially used to get there.

The trip up to Mallaig with photo stops in Monesse Gorge and Fort William was on Jim Aird's recommendation.  I managed to even con the driver
of the lead engine into a foot plate ride. "Certain ly, there are no inspectors up here.  Climb on up."   The fireman on the lead engine was
the brother of the driver on the second engine.  That was the first time I tried to fire a steam locomotive ... I learned how at Strasburg
where my pay check was dependent on knowing how.
