The CERA information was lifted directly and without attribution from PTM
predecessor PERC's 1952 publication on the system. They didn't even so much
as change the font that was used in the drawing's title!

Page 16 of "West Penn Traction" (CERA #110, Copyright 1968) has a diagram
and
narrative of how the signal system operated. I could scan this page and send
it somewhere for all to see, if desired.
