Correct, they would have had no air systems being All-Electric cars. The 
braking system would have been spring applied/electrically released, as were 
the Pittsburgh all-electric (original numbered) 1700s. Of some interest is 
the fact that the Boston all-electrics were Pullman-Standards first such 
cars. They were delivered to Boston in 1946. They were about the only Boston 
PCCs not equipped for multiple unit operation.
