Bob:

Timely posting of some good shots. These answer a couple questions I've
been contemplating. I didn't know what to do with the triangle area just
south of the building. Most pictures show it paved over but the older
photos show a well manicured shrubbery and grass. The first photo on your
list looks like it is grass with a low weeded fence.

The other answer is the base for the waiting shelter on the Knoxville line,
it appears to be poured concrete.

These are timely because I just started paving and dumping dirt onto the
module. Things are coming along nicely in my basement, the building lacks
only a roof. I was able to locate it on the module so the paving could
begin. I'm taking many pictures along the way and I would update the web
page but I'm having too much fun building the module.

Thanks for the photos Bob.

Recent discussion about the Administration Building at South Hills Jct.,
prompted me to look through my photo collection. See these photos which
Derrick uploaded to my page today:

toward the tunnel, 1628 outbound on route 44; derail visible in foreground;

http://trolley.dementia.org/brathke/PRC1161-44SHJ.JPG Looking south, 1161
inbound on route 44 just north of the Administration Bldg.; no date, but
possibly around 1950 (inferred because of dates on other photos in this
set). Photographer unknown, collection of Harold Smith.

Hopefully, there's something here to help the SHJ modelers.
