Cheez--whiz, Amigo, how about sharing some of that saturation with the
rest of us?!(:->) Can't seem to get enough here!

.......btwn Wynhurst and Brighton *on California* was abandoned as far
as the 13-line was concerned. When 2-routes are combined into one, the
first one listed is travelled outbound until the second number listed is
reached -- 42/38, 6/13 etc. The route is then retraced inbound.

Doubt that the 15-was rerouted off California *unless* there was some
kind of public works program which would interfere with service - street
paving, widening, sewer work, etc. Others can say for sure.

The above date you list is the abandonment of the 6/13 -- the 6- &
13-lines were combined in Sept--1965 when the 15-line was abandoned. The
6/13 was actually cut back to the 6/14 in Dec--1965 because of the bridge
on the outer end of the 13-line. The 6/14 continued until 1966.05.01.
When Keating closed, equipment and staff went to SHJ. Thus the demise of
the 1775--1799 series which had strong dynamic drag when the power was
released. Normal function of a PCC to set controller toward braking and
thus create some dynamic drag, but it was exceptionally strong with these
cars. Interurban motormen did NOT like getting one of these cars for
trippers.
