Again at the risk of trusting to a 'rusty' memory........

Somewhat earlier, wasn't there a 6/15 service; perhaps evening/night car???
This was replaced by the 6/13 service in late 50s/early 1960s as Bob
mentions above.

Beyond Avalon Loop, there were 2 or 3 trestle's built by Pittsburgh Railway
predecessor's that were modified for highway traffic. One - or more - of
these bridges was condemned for continued streetcar service in early 1960s.
Thus ended the route 13 Emsworth service to be replaced by 14 Avalon cars
(and 6/14) that turned at Avalon Loop.

As an aside, on a fantrip, John Baxter once mentioned that the stub tracks
at Avalon loop were used for dropping trailers years before. Any
clarification???

And one for Harold G.: Didn't the boroughs try 'sticking' PAT with the cost
of replacing one of the trestles on the Emsworth line??
