Good Morning!

This makes good business sense, Yes?! The portion of Calif inbound of
Wynhurst could easily be served by one line (15-) in the evenings and
routing the 13- over the 6-line makes good sense! PRCo was certainly
efficient!
What other examples of this efficiency do we have?
Sunday service on the interurbans alternating between the 2-lines required
only 3-cars to maintain schedules - running cars dedicated to a line would
have required 4-cars!
John had mentioned earlier that many schedules reveal headways of 17, 18,
or 19 minutes, even 11, 12, and 13 minutes -- this as opposed to even 15-
or 20-minute headways. It seems that PRCo maximized schedules to minimize
overly long layovers depending on the running times and length of the line
- this reduced overhead expense while maximizing service!
Surely there are many others!

So this would be the timeframe of post--WW2 into the 1950s, Yes? But
where would the 6/15 loop to return, or did it use double end equipment and
the X-overs near West View which means service would have ended early
1950s?
