My copy of Howard's e-mail arrived here in perfect English.  Is that because
I'm a member of the Secret Squadron?

Regardless, my McAfee Secret Symbol Scan program must have caught and
stripped the offending items from Howard's message :-} .

However, I sometimes get those strange symbols in e-mails written by people
using MACs.

And, "Sheraden" is relatively easy.  Most locals can't even spell - nor
pronounce - "Connequenessing".

Can't find my secret decoder ring. This may be something as
prosaic as an em-dash gone wrong, but just in case the Europeans
have a plot to infiltrate PRCo at dementia, let me warn you, lads, you
haven't a hope of blending in and passing as locals - not even if you
can spell Sheraden.

Don
