For those of you coming to western PA towards the end of the month. I
am also be available with my 7 passenger van to haul persons. As a
supervisor at the museum, I may be able to twist some arms to run 1711
(depends on the work being done to it) For those of you who have not seen it
in person, it will knock your socks off!
I just have to check my schedule as the time approaches.
I will warn you about traveling into the 'Burg, traffic becomes
nightmarish with the closed outbound Fort Pitt bridge and tunnel. It has
been so bad as to have several members of the downtown business community
complain about all the busses to an unnamed Port Authority representative.
They even questioned--"What happened to all those quiet, clean streetcars
that used to be here? They would be so much better!"

On an aside: Derrick, I have an image of a grandfather that a gentleman
is trying to identify who his employer was by his uniform. May I send it to
you to have it posted on trolley/demetia.org? I would like to see if any of
the list members can make out the hat badge any better than my futile
attempts have been.

    Thank you.
