Someone who shall remain nameless sent a wide reply about this topic to a
small subset of list members. When I asked why it wasn't shared with
everyone it was pointed out that the list doesn't handle attachments.
I had to admit it was true.

With any luck, I just reconfigured the list software to strip attachments
from messages, drop them in a directory on the server, and include a URL
in posts.

If so, you will get an excerpt from one of the plat maps showing Dormont
Wye, in URL form.
