The same people who built the bulk of the PCCs Also built the
2-North Shore Electroliners. These 2-units exceeded anything
that the North Shore hoped to get out of them. They were
reliable and faithful servants that are good examples of the Free
Enterprize System at its best.
I was fortunate to know Bill Kehoe of Gurnee when I lived in
Illinois. Bill was an electrical engineer for the North
Shore. While Bill was in the service on the West Coast, he got
paint chips from the Liners and gave them to Ken Kidder
personally. Kidder imported traction equipment in brass mostly
for "O"-Scale but also some HO. I saw and operated his two
"O"-Scale model Liners!
