[PRCo] Re: PSSST - WANNA BUY A PCC?

Sounds OK to me but it doesn't work quite as nicely as a double-end Dallas car
where one side and one end could be painted for each system. Which color
scheme gets the door side? Wait a minute ... how about diagonal 20 ft. wide
repeating stripes ... at a 45 degree angle ... red and cream, then 20 feet
later biege and orange, and 20 feet later red and cream again. Maybe 20 ft.
sections won't work. It needs to be some length that, when summed adds to
108' - 8 3/4", which is the distance around the car. How about 10.9 ft.
stripes? You can be certain to see it in a fog much better than the gray
Breda cars in San Francisco. It would be so strange that we would have
concerns that the local drunks might try to mate with it! (What the rest of
you don't know was that I once royally pissed off one of the PCC lovers at
Seashore by suggesting they could scrap all but one ex Dallas car, and then
repaint it as suggested in the first line. Ken knew about it.) The basic
premise here is that we cannot take ourselves and our hobby too seriously or
we and our spouses go crazy.

Sidebar: Your book is still up in the bedroom ... haven't found time to run
to a duplicating place yet. It's safe.

Nice to hear from you again.
