Since I usually don't have much to say on this list, and never on Sunday, my
silence did not beg the original question, but since you asked I was in Da
'Burgh. Nothing trolley related, except a trip to A. B. Charles, we took
our freshman daughter to Pitt and survived Arrival Survival. Empty nesters
now, we'll be able to do what we want; once we get used to the idea...

This all brings me to Derrick's comment about a PTM meeting in Oakland.
When in October will this meeting be held? We already have reservations for
the weekend of the 24th, parents weekend and , I think , homecoming. Say it
is the 24th and I'll squeeze in the time.

Bob.

In the last week I recovered a few machines from various Windows
afflictions (not mine, I don't use Windows), had some fun installing MacOS
X on an old laptop, went to New York while about half the city had no
power, drove to Boston after backtracking to Trenton because Amtrak wasn't
running north, came home, did a pile of work, had a hamster in our care
reach the end of the line, and moved offices. I'm ready to do something
fun, but I have no time for it.

In other news, I'm catching up on back (physical) mail. I see that the PA
Trolley Museum's October meeting is supposed to be in Oakland, about
Oakland, with students from Oakland (and presumably elsewhere) invited.
I'm pretty bad about meetings, but if I can't make a meeting in Oakland, I
suck.

So, does anyone know if there's truth in this, or should I visit Hunt and
see if they have back issues of the Tartan that might cover it?
