Just curious. Was this the same place that became "Smithfield News"? I
remember when I was 13 or 14 years old, I would hop on the 42/38 at Dormont
Junct., play a few games of pinball at Smithfield News, then walk down to
Fort Pitt Blvd. and take the 35 or 36 lines to the end of the line. Would
always hope to get a motorman that knew me. That way, I'd get on for free.
Boy, if I'd have just had a camera with me. Smithfield News was a place where
a minor could actually purchase dirty magazines. I guess they didn't care as
long as they got their money. My mother would have had a stroke if she knew I
was hanging out at S. N. !
