You remind me that on a recent trip to the Western PA Model Railroad
Museum in Gibsonia, I observed something interesting but not entirely
unexpected. They model a fictitious line between Pittsburgh and
Cumberland. The Pittsburgh end of their line includes a Smithfield Street
bridge model with PCCs operating in a loop across it (the ends of the loop
hidden from view)

Well, they started building Connellsville, and when I was there the tracks
in the streets were being laid. The plan (hanging up there) appeared to be
to include the barn, the bridge, the terminal, a stub where the South
Connellsville line would be, a stub up the hill on East Crawford, and
portions of the lines via Dunbar (including the trestles over the
railroads, but not Dunbar) and Leisenring (but again, not that far).

Remains to be seen how they intend to operate it.
