Ed showed us (Fred, Fred and I) a building which he said was the old car
house. I think I recall he had a picture which matched up nicely. I don't
remember what it was, but I could go take a picture of it; I suspect he
will respond with comments before I have time to get to Latrobe, though I
do plan to visit Greensburg again in the light to attempt again to
identify the location of a car on the "Ludwick" line.

If you decide to go I'll meet you there. I'll be honest: I have no problem
using a facility once I've figured out the procedures, but am intimidated
the first time I go in.

If the Derry barn and Latrobe trolley station were in fact 1904 vintage as
the HABS/HAER people put forth, 1904 is probably a safe bet. I wouldn't
put money on them getting it right.
