I'm sitting here with a copy of file 0208_004.jpg before me.

The large dark-colored building is the former Fullman Mfg Co. plant.
They made junction boxes for electrical circuits. Think of the brass
boxes you find embedded in floors, with screw-in plugs to seal them
when not in use. They made that sort of thing.

The building housed a machine shop and, I think, had a small brass
foundry in the rear. I don't know what's in the building now. As I
recall (It's been a few years since I even looked at it, and I wasn't
paying much attention) it has apparently been divided into smaller
spaces rented out to hair salons, offices, etc.

There may be a car house in the picture. The roof end visible
directly above the police car, above the smaller bulding with the
several garage doors, may be the old circa 1900 car house. I think
the yellow sign peeking through the tree advertises a car wash, the
construction of which brought forth the little building and wrought I
know not what changes in the paving between the street and the
buildings.

Once upon a time, there was no curb on the far side of the street,
the area between the street and the front of the building was paved
with brick, and one could either see rails or the places where rails
had been in the brick. But that was fifty years ago or so. As I
recall it was not possible to trace the rails all the way to the
front of the building, which opens the possibility that the building
was not the car house but rather a replacement for the car house.

For those with a map handy, the left edge of the picture is at the
alley between Spring and Walnut Streets. The street under the police
car is Jefferson, south is to the left. Actually, what we've been
calling north is closer to northwest, so I guess to the left is
southeast. Convention in Latrobe is that Ligonier Street run north-south.
