The Sun-Telegraph was acquired by the Post-Gazette on 4/23/60. It carried
both newspaper names on the masthead and published mornings, afternoons and
Sundays (from the Sun-Telegraph building on Grant St.) for 18 months (as
Derrick stated earlier today). On 11/12/61 the P-G enetered into a joint
operating agreement with the Press, and the Sun-Telegraph name quietly
disappeared.
