OK - I wuz shooting slides down the Library line one morning, and parked the
car up the road and walked down to the stop at Beagle Drive. Some early
graffiti artist (this was before the elaborate NY style) had visited and,
using a paint brush rather than an air brush, had drawn a woman's figure
from the neck down. You've seen Dolly Parton? Not like this. The right
one was a goodly size, correctly tipped, and the left one was not only
immense but pointed in the direction of Mt Washington. Wasp waist was
defined here. Heading down, the goodies were inferred rather than
graphically detailed. And no, I didn't do it. Oh yeah, 1700 was passing
northbound. If you were at the slide show at the museum last June 22 you
saw it, albeit only for a short time.
It's being rescanned - the slide hasn't gone through a scan since my first
and original Photosmart scanner was in business, a real piece of junk when
compared with even my second scanner, the next generation of the Photosmart,
the S-20. I retired that a few months ago - it was OK but fought like cats
and dogs with my Canoscan 4x6 negative scanner, so I sold it to a friend for
$300 and now am using a Nikon 4000 - now both scanners are cats, definitely
no dogs. The view's never been on eBay but from some of the stuff I've seen
on there recently I'm going to load it up in the next week or two.
Slide 6603022 - not for sale.
